ELENICE SENN - Kelea Co-Founder, Office Manager and Surf Instructor

Former professional bodyboarder from Brazil competed and surfed around the world until 1991. Always involved in water sports, Elenice started teaching surfing in 1994 when she co-founded Endless Summer Surf Camp with her husband, professional surfer, Jason Senn in San Clemente, CA. Elenice developed the idea of creating an all girl surf spa with Stephanie Tufts. In 2001 with the help of her partner Stephanie Tufts their dream became reality. Elenice, graduated from USIU with a degree in Teaching ESL and Spanish. With a passion for teaching Elli loves sharing her surfing knowledge with other women. “Surfing introduced me to many different cultures around the world, I love this sport, it allows one to be in touch with nature, stay physically fit and relaxed.

ANNIE SWEENEY - Kelea Co-Owner, Operations Manager and Surf Instructor

Annie is a California native who loves the ocean and exploring the great outdoors. After years of putting her heart and soul into Kelea, she has become a partner with co-founder, Elenice Senn. Annie’s love of surfing and travel has led her to search for waves in Australia, Indonesia, Mexico, Southeast Asia, Costa Rica and Hawaii to name a few. She has been

teaching surfing for several years in California, Costa Rica and Hawaii. She is CPR, First Aid and Ocean and Water Rescue Certified. After graduating from UCSB with a BA in Sociology, she owned and successfully operated a private school in Costa Rica. Her water knowledge and patience eventually led her to teach on the beach which is her true passion. Her positive attitude and good spirit are contagious.

DANIEL ORTIZ - Chef

A surfer since he was eight year old, Daniel always loved a healthy lifestyle. His father has been his great mentor, a homeopathic doctor and owner of vegan restaurant he introduced Daniel to a very integrated and functional healthy culinary style. Daniel will be sharing his culinary skills and knowledge’s at Kelea Surf Spa this season preparing healthy and delicious meals.

MICHELLE KLEIN - Esthetician

Michelle moved to Hawaii in 2003 after surfing the globe looking for perfect waves. Once in Hawaii she started her family and discovered a more natural approach to health and wellness. Soon after spending many hours in the water her passion for skin care was born and she started her search for ways to maintain a better smooth silky and naturally healthy skin.

MICHELLE KLEIN - Esthetician

She graduated from the International School of Beauty and Esthetic in Honolulu in 2007. She works at the Sullivan Spa and Retreat and has her own natural skin care practice offering therapeutically and transformational skin care treatments specializing in full body waxing, custom facials and body treatments.

Michelle now happily brings all her services to the surfer girls at Kelea Surf Spa.

KATIANN HAWKS - Massage

Katiann Hawks moved to the North Shore last spring to experience true Hawaii. Kati has been massaging for the last seven years and received her massage license from The Western Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy, in Southern California. She continued to expand her knowledge, experience and expertise in bodywork and attended workshops

and classes as often as possible to enhance her skills for each individuals needs.

She spends most of her free time outdoors, hiking, swimming, biking, and relaxing on the sand. "I'm loving Hawaii and everything this paradise has to offer, aloha!"

TARA LAVERY - Massage and Yoga Instructor

Tara moved to Oahu three years ago to pursue her dream of learning to surf on the infamous North Shore. A massage therapist for ten years she currently works at Turtle Bay Resort at Spa Luana. She dreamed of a place that combined her favorite things: Surfing, Yoga and All things spa when she found Kelea. Her massage training includes Sports,

Reflexology, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Lomi Lomi, Swedish and more. She customizes each massage to fit the individual’s needs using her experience and education.
